Reading an article about some of the problems facing CA farmers because of the rain, I found a reference to the "California Dried Plum Board". I guess that really does sound better than the "California Prune Board".

*G* On the other hand, at their farm my in-laws had a plum tree that we all called the "Prune tree" because it was a memorial for her father, and the family all called her parents "The Prunes."
