Morgause did seem a little *too perfect* tbh. I thought she had a few shades of a 'Mary-Sue' about her. Apart from the evil. And the fact she didn't make out with one of the main characters. But apart from that, yeah, it was a little like a 13-year-old fangirl wrote herself into the episode.

Having said that: I still LOVE Emilia Fox. She probably is simply that perfect. ^_^

Yep, that's a definite possibility!

Here's to optimism, that that bitch encahnted Merlin to kiss her and then a ball of fire out of nowhere comes and strikes her and said bitch dies. Merlin wakes up confesses his love for Arthur. Then we get sweet Merthur porn.

To optimism.

I like the way you think! *crosses fingers and prays this is the way the ep goes*

*points to icon* That was pretty much my reaction to the last five minutes of this episode. The rest of it? I was bouncing off the walls like a flipping bouncy ball. :D

On a similar note, was it just me or has there been ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGE in Gaius and Uther’s relationship, despite last week?

Actually, I kind of thought that Gaius was a little abrupt with Uther in their scenes together, saying the bare minimum and confessing to what he did when Morgause was born with no shame whatsoever. And Uther didn't freak out about Gaius consorting with magic users like one would think. I really got the feeling that Uther is treading lightly around Gaius right now and doesn't want to piss him off any more than he already has in recent times.

But that was just my take. :)

Hah! So agree.

And yeah, having watched the ep a second time, I think you're right. I suppose they can't exactly cold-shoulder each other - this is the subtle, politic way of doing so. Think you're definitely right about Uther's reaction to Gaius' lie.
