This was not exactly the way I expected or hoped to spend my birthday, however I am not about to let recent events negate any celebrations. I had enough of growing up with my guardian declaring my every birthday a funeral, all because it fell on the wrong day.

So Happy 23rd Birthday to me.

That makes sense.... Is the soup done?

It should be just about, yes.

[He made a gesture with his hand and the spoon stopped stirring.]

Can you bring it over?

Alright. [Denzel goes to pick up the pot by the rings but he cannot pump his iron. So, after struggling for a moment or so he pulls out his and swishes and flicks the pot over, resting that gently on the table]

[Gellert looks pleased by the use of magic.]

You have natural skills.

[Places the wand back into his side pocket of his pants, that horribly sticks out. Fixing his glasses] Yes, you've said that before.

[Before making his own way over to the table]

We both know why. [Slight smirk]

You can do the same, Gellert and better then me. Least with wizarding magic...

But you would be considered to be a Muggle. I have suspected, though, that wizarding blood can be brought forth from ancient ancestors. You have proven my suspicions to be true.

Gellert, have you by chance heard of something called, DNA?

No. What is that?

[There's a pause as Denzel begins to pour each of them soup and began in his teacher lecture] DNA is short for Deoxyribonucleic acid. It's the -

[Pause. He didn't want to say building blocks or blueprints as he was staring at Gellert. That would just lose the other man. Crocker's mind was racing on what magical aspect to substitute with and when it rang in his head, Denzel continues to pour the soup for the both of them]

You know how your potions have different ingredients and you have to mix certain ingredients to get a certain potion just right? Something like that. And it makes you. Each of those 'peculiar ingredients' are for different things. Hair color, eye color and so on. Which are passed down some from the mother and some from the father. [Pause as he sits down] Is this making any sense to you?

Like the way magic is passed down, usually by wizarding parents but sometimes not?
