Really nice ending! <3
I always liked the AU version of DH in my mind where Penny is indeed still alive and runs and goes to NY where a few years later billy finds her under her new identity while he's Barney stinson and totally awesome

That sounds like a fun AU! Of course, anything with Barney would be fun. I want to read that now! : )

Great ending! I was really scared that you were going to just have Penny do exactly what she did in the movie, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw something different.
It's been a pleasure reading this great piece of fiction!

The ending actually went through a lot of revisions--originally it was closer to the movie ending, but ended much happier then the final ending. Then I realized I'd have to change the name, so... ; )
I'm so happy you enjoyed it!

And yes, I agree with the others. I want to believe that Penny somehow did change things. And made everything better somehow!
Bah to Hourglass. What does she know?

I'm sure Penny did change things; at least that's what I keep telling myself! She and Billy deserve a happiness in at least one universe. : )

But it was wonderful and amazing and I enjoyed every bit of it and I just want to devour the voices you give the characters because you've got them down pretty freaking good.
And poor Penny. Dying. And knowing she's dead. Although being a 'pirated' version of herself made me laugh more than it should have :P
Anyhow, this was amazing and I thank you for this... three and a half hours it's taken me to read (more or less I think...) and I've enjoyed every squeee-ing second of it. <3
Thanks, and kudos!
