Did you get a chance to watch the telemovie with Rachel Griffiths? I didn't get to watch it all but I did enjoy it, I think I missed the start which meant I didn't get to properly understand everything, but I would like to watch it again. I wouldn't mind watching "We Steal Secrets" either, when I get a chance to. I think there is another actual movie out too, isn't there? Or is this it?
I haven't seen the telemovie and don't know if there's a movie, but this doco is very good. I'll have to look up the telemovie and see how close to the actual events it is. Even if it isn't, I'm a fan of Rachel Griffiths so I'll enjoy it no doubt! '
I just realised I'd had a brain freeze when I said I didn't know about another movie - It's called The Fifth Estate, I believe and stars Benedict Cumberbatch. Apparently it's not very factual, showing Assange knowing and having conversations with people he's never spoken to or met, people shown as being at places they weren't when certain things happened etc - as many of these movies are, being made for entertainment more than education, so people have to keep that in mind when watching it. Cumberbatch actually made a few public comments regarding his reservations as to how he was asked to play Assagne.
Lol! ;-) I thought there was a movie, just couldn't remember the name. The Rachel Griffiths one seems to be about his earlier life and how he founded Wikileaks. The bloke that played him was a dead ringer for him; it was quite scary, actually. A younger version, of course.
