They're featuring seasonally themed audiofics from Hufflehugs of our lovely professor (complete with buttons and holiday snark!) and the inimitable know-it-all

Awesome! I think you do deserve it dark lotus. I went and listened to your reading the other day and it was so engaging. It brought a smile to my face. I also got jealous because I can't whip up a british accent to save my life. :( Kudos dearie!

My flat vowels gave me away as an Aussie, I'm afraid - but I did my best!

I am, however, going to be living down my awful Scots accent for some time to come, I think!

I'm actually waiting for quaffswinegaily to start throwing rocks at me once she's picked herself off the ground from rolling around laughing...

I really had a lot of fun doing them, though, and hope to do more in the future.

You know, dark, I was wondering if you'd do M-rated/NC-17 stuff? Could you imagine yourself reading aloud:

"...and he inserted his throbbing member into her quivering center..."

ahahahahahaha! *slaps knee*

But seriously? Do you think you'd be able to subvert the self-consciousness to do it, or have you already sworn off doing those.

BTW, how does one go about becoming a fic-reader? I haven't the Brit accent to make it sound authentic, but I LOVE reading aloud. Expect a mixture of Canadian/Caribbean twang though.

Hmm...though I feel it might be best left to the pros...

I initially volunteered to help with editing and mixdown, stuff like that, as they'd asked for people to help, and, being an audio engineer, I thought I could lend a hand - which I do occasionally.

Then they asked if I'd be interested in reading, and so I thought.... 'why not?' I was a performer for years, and used to sing and recite, and had quite a bit of experience with public speaking, and so I gave it a go.

I'm glad I did - it's been lots of fun!

I've never read any of the steamier stuff (aloud, that is - I love the naughty ones!), but I've been thinking of practising so I don't break down in giggles and do a test recording to see how I go with it.
