A Comic-Styled Vector of Jensen & Icons

Jan 28, 2012 13:21

I felt my vector-muse again and made a comic-styled vector of this beautiful pic of Jensen we all know well. The shapes were made with Adobe Illustrator. The lights, blush and shadows were added later with Adobe Photoshop.

This is really freaking awesome!

I have a mad love for comic-y looking graphic art. Sadly, I can't draw people to save my life, so I have to stick to Photoshop and manips. And while I'm reasonably good at that, I have no real clue how Illustrator works. People keep telling me it's awesome though. Do you have to draw all the shapes yourself, similar to using a CAD program? Or can you convert the images into vectors and then clean them up? Man, if this is what you get out of it, I might have to learn how to use that damn program after all.

Long rambling short, awesome work, this rocks!

Thanks so much dear :-)
I know and cherish your fanworks a lot. <3

I draw all shapes individually from face-layers to eyelash, using brushes, too. And I work with mouse and graphic tablet, depending on the complexity of the vector.

Yes, try it, I´m an .ai-fan since I dared coming out of my Freehand-shell 5 years ago. It´s so much fun...
