You are the 5th girl that I've talked to who plans on joining the Armed Services after they graduate from college. Most of them think that they need discipline. I'm not sure.

Shes not doing it for discipline. She wants to help out in a situation that she cant get in the civilian sector. Blood, guts, and all the gore is what shes looking for. Plus the sign on money will help us a lot, they will pay off a lot of her loans, and she can continue her education. Also one of the major reasons is that I will get mostly free medical care, with some of the best doctors in the country. Sure the move will be hard for both of us, but in the long run it will be the best thing. I for one fully support her on this.

The thought of going to a big city er is not appealing to me and most civilain flight services want you to have eihter military experence or spend 3-4 years doing er and 5 years if ICU/CCU. The air force will let me go in to program after only a year of being in. I also looked at the army and the navy and decided against them for different reasons. With the army I would be in a CASH unit (similar to MASH) for 18 months i would go home for a year then back out for 18 months and i would not be doing flight. the navy only takes 2 nurses a year in to thier flight program and have a very small core of flight nurses. The air force has the most flight nurses and the bonus of longevity in the service. By that i mean that the air force is ( ... )
