Does the author of the petition believe that Google owns the satellite that is taking the photographs? From the way it appears to be worded, it sounds like they believe that Google has the capacity for real time satellite imagery. This makes me wonder about the intelligence of the poster, which then makes me wonder if this is an elaborate attempt at trolling, rather like the one a few years ago in protest of the second Lord of the Rings movie being called "The Two Towers", because it was obviously a ploy to link the movie to 9-11.

Sorry, kids, but I'm not quite buying it. You might as well petition No Such Agency to release their satellite images of the area.
