As for the question, I wouldn't want to live on this world for all eternity. I have a hard enough time resisting sin for the short time we're here already. I wouldn't want to be Methuselah (who lived 4+ thousand years) much less have eternal life in this world.

I sure as heck don't want to live forever on this earth. I don't know if I'll make it to heaven, but I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Agreed, and God doesn't want us to be here forever. He has a plan in which all who believe can be with Him in eternity. It is up to us, however, to follow that plan.
