i could see Alan being ok with the idea of one of the boys being gay but i got the impression from Man Hunt that he is not fond of Billy.

LIke i said in the story that Alan thinks that Don turned away from his family because of Billy but that is now how it was....

Also, IMHO ALan wants Don to settle down with someone and hav ea family and he thinks he can't have them now...

arg I have to get my notes out and check to see how the next part is gonna play so I can start brainstorming....
