Huh. Look at that. Other countries have idiots in their government too.

I can see how you'd want to cut down on people gaming the system. This doesn't seem to be the way to do it. In fact, this seems to be a particularly stupid way to do it. Unnecessarily punative on people who genuinely need the support, while not really doing all that much to people who don't.

"I have to find a way to pay for additional childcare for four weeks" vs "I only have to work four weeks a year? ROCK ON!", just as a quick wtf example.
