There is a guy on the CD board right now who claims to have never heard of Auschwitz. He's my age and (allegedly) a college student/graduate.

I weep for the future, and the US education system, if this is true.

Yeah, in 2003, I ran into a freshman girl at my college who honestly believed that the reason we sold Saddam all those WMD's was because he was helping us fight Hitler.

Her Excuse: I went to a lil' ol' country school, and our American History teacher never got to WWII.

WTF? World War II was our finest hour. It was the closest we'll ever see to an epic battle of good vs. evil, entire channels are devoted to it, so much of our pop culture references are about how Hitler was bad.

Seriously, it's people like that who make we want to go back to the good ol' days where only certain educated folk got to vote.
