I've been seeing ads all day in AO (yes, they actually have paid ads in this MMO, which might be tacky but it's how I'm managing to be a free user so I won't complain) telling me that Lost is coming to British TV on August 10

There's a sort of supernatural/weird/unexplained element to it (i.e. what else might live on the island, why did they crash, why did they survive, etc?) that makes it more than a simple 'plane-crash-desert-island' story. Plus there's pretty people, love triangles, betrayals, twists, flashbacks (sometimes boring, sometimes good) and more.

That still doesn't tell you much, does it? I do wish Channel 4 would start showing ads that actually explained the plot, instead of the arty-farty one they have at the mo.
