Seriously. That bar o' treat was big enough that I really should have split it in half and saved some for later... but noooo. It's all gone now save for a slightly tacky residue on my typin' fingers. Ew.
I have only seen the slightly less long-assed Soderbergh/Clooney remake of the original longer-assed Russian movie, but would really like to see the original. If I ever get through this crazily typefaced book.
It's a super soft sweater too... I used this crimsony red microfiber yarn I had originally purchased for a lace sweater coat many many years ago. (What was I thinking trying to make a knee-length, long-sleeved sweater coat for myself. Seriously!) It's a little drapier than what the pattern calls for (the collar is flipfloptastic) but soooo pat-my-belly soft.
AWESOME re: the sweater! I would love to see some more detailed pictures (HINT HINT HINT!!) I haven't finished anything in 6 months, so I need to see pretty finished things from other folks to spur me onward. I've been working on the same shawl, and man. I am ready to move on. Only 6 more rows left! Plus the edging!
Sorry to hear that you missed out on the fests...I hope you are feeling better!
PS OOoooh! I am super excited to hear you might participate in NaNoWriMo (in my head I always call that na-na-na-booboo) Good luck!
I'll have to model it for ya... it turned out really well except it's almost too drapey. I had a bunch of microfiber yarn stashed from an abandoned project that needed to be used for something else. It's very soft and luscious, but the collar is all floppy and saggy. Still love it though.
Is this the last six rows of a pattern that increases from three stitches to eleventy-billion stitches? Because those are the hardest! (Plus sometimes I almost can't be bothered to finish/edge projects... just want to be done with them! Totally feel you on that.)
We are possibly planning to go out to the Mushroom Fest next weekend to make up for it.
Thanks for the good luck wishes... I'll need it! I kept myself up one night just trying to map out the outline... scared myself silly thinking about night terrors and silently looming presences at the side of the bed.
The hair is approaching ridiculously long again. I'm enjoying it for now, but it is starting to get stuck in things.
Have you found a better stylist? I remember you had one a while back that was perhaps a bit flaky and didn't entirely understand the concept of customer service.

I have been meaning to read Solaris as well. I watched the original long-ass Russian movie in college and really liked it.
I, too, have no defense against huge rice crispie treats. NOM.

Better enjoy that sleep while you still can! ;)

Your busy bee stuff is the going places other than work and home and eating things other than instant noodles and take-out.

Love the label art! I'll have to go order some so I can keep the label and hang it up on my little bulletin board of cool label art.
