Chez Snark is rolling in the pretend dough this weekend!

Now.. there is some legitimate lucre mixed in with the fake stuff: my payday was Friday and the DarkityFam got sneaky and sent some early holiday checks "from grandma", but the fake money to which I refer is the refund for The Mister's last term at the massage therapy school and this state ( Read more... )

Man, if I had a fireplace, I would definitely curl up in front of it this afternoon and take a nap!

That is absolutely the most frightening holiday user pic ever.

Our fireplace is still be-candled. Which is still nice, just not... fireplacey.

We went back to IKEA today to buy actual furniture. It's crazy over here!

I had to go back and look to see what picture it was, and now I'm practically choking because it's Papa Lazarou. If you have even a remotely sick sense of humor, then you should rent The League of Gentleman. Papa Lazarou doesn't make an appearance until the 2nd or 3rd season, but I was seriously having freaky dreams about him after he showed up. That picture is from the Christmas Special. Sweet dreams!

That's why I have never been to Sephora. I don't go to Beavertron, I don't go to malls, so I definitely DO NOT GO to Washington Square. Such an unappealing concept.

Oh and we want pictures of the Sparkly Snarky!

I took one really bad cellphone camera photo of one eye, but there will be future Sparkly Snarky pics!

I have yet to go completely into Washington Square. I think we might have hit up the Sears that is a part of it during our Great Appliance Quest of '06, but didn't venture any deeper into it.

Last Winter next week sounds like a plan. The movie is actually available On Demand via Comcast now (IFC is doing a simultaneous release thing this year with movies) so we can either go to the Hollywood theater to see it (plus Perfume House plus eating food somewhere), or see it over here at Chez Snark (plus Perfume House plus home cooked meal for you and Angel?).

Ooh! Chez Snark sounds fabulous! I'll see what my hermetic partner thinks. I'll also check with the PH again - if they still don't have Iris Pallida in, we might give that a miss altogether - unless you want to go anyway? (I always want to go, but that's me. Hee.)

I was really hoping octoberess would join us at the PH this time (although she made it clear she is NOT into THAT sort of movie! ha!). She was really excited about it. But it seems that family illness is rearing it's head again - poor girl! So she's out of town again for a while.
