It is a good substitute (even a replacement) for Photoshop, and best of all, it is totally free. You can resize, crop, adjust brightness/contrast, work with layers, etc.
Thanks for reminding me of Gimp! I remember someone telling me about it a while back, but i had Photoshop at the time so didn't feel a need to really LOOK at it. So cute! I'm a sucker for cute graphics. lol.
