I'm enjoying this immensely. I was so caught up in the story that when I hit the end of this part, it felt like the bottom had fallen out of my chair. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Happy Spanderversary! I can't tell you the exact date, but I know what story won me over. I'd never even seen Buffy, or read any of the fic, but I read Beautiful Broken by Lit Gal, and never looked back. So I totally understand how you feel!

Just out of curiosity - how did you stumble into reading "Beautiful Broken"?

I had several stories from the Oz fandom in the nominations for the Titanium Whip Awards, which were for stories with BDSM, Kink or Fetish themes. I've always loved Slave Fic, so I was browsing through the nominees for that category and found Beautiful Broken. I was bored, it sounded pretty good, and I've never been afraid to leap into the middle of a fandom just because I haven't seen the series, so I took the chance.

Fortunately, I knew Jane Davitt from Stargate SG-1, and I knew she had history with Buffy, so I asked her for some S/X recs, and she opened up the request to her flist. I spent weeks going through all the wonderful stories they suggested, and I was hooked. That was 2006/2007, and I'm still just as much of a fanatic as I was then.

It took me a lot longer to start writing it than is normal for me, but then, there was so much fic to read that I guess I just didn't feel the need to rush. *g*

That's how I ended up involved in the DCU! I was bored and followed a rec that simply said 'I dare you to read this and tell me Batman and Flash aren't meant to be'. I didn't even know who Flash was, but by the end of the story, I was hooked. *g*

OK, first I love you!! Cos I bounced around just seeing the post on fall_for_sx.

I have (to my shame) never watched SG Atlantis (please don't hate me) but for the first time I actually have an interest! I loved the contents of the boys' pockets, esp the lube and all the cigarettes, etc. I love how Spike treats Xander, and how confident is whilst still being young and enthusiastic and everything.

Just, yeah, if you don't continue this I will find where you live and do heinous things to your body whilst allowing your brain to continue working so you can speak the story to me!!

And your show primers at the beginning?! Sheer class!

I love crossovers :)... and I'd been looking around for some SGA ones, as I always feel that its universe blends well with the Buffy one.

Hee, the figure skating bit made me smile. Can't wait to see how everyone is going to react to Spike.
