akdsfl I have to second matchy. I kept trying to think of ways to explain it without going into lots of complicated detail. Basically, they're like this alien race pretending to be ancient gods and they have this really cool armour shield thing. And they're kinda evil.

Same here! I just saw the first ep and am currently flailing so hard. I want the next episode now. Along with Jason and Bill awesome friendliness, I also want more awkwardly hilarious father-daughter interaction with Bill and Jessica.
