I'm the depressing type I guess...

Jun 09, 2009 23:20

So. I was slightly stunned by the ratings for Kame's guest appearance on Mr. Brain. Then I got disappointed. And then I felt even worse for Kame when I read about the boycotting rumours (...is it a rumour if supposedly someone admitted to joining the boycott and then deleted the comment...?) and then I read that he reacted to the news by getting ( Read more... )

life sucks, ilu kame-chan, kame needs so much love, fandom-y stuff, so tired, they call it work experience, wtf, je

*hugs back* Yes, exactly that. :( I saw your post too and god, what bad timing for both of us. We probably wouldn't have gotten so down about it if things hadn't accumulated to this point. Usually, I'd get over it pretty quick and I don't really take fandom too seriously but this time with work and RL... I think reading the comms yesterday was a bad idea.

I can never understand how people could well and truly hate someone, especially someone they don't know personally and who has never done anything wrong like that. Not just Kame, although that is so befuddling enough, but anyone. :(

I'm trying to avoid thinking about Gokusen. You're entirely right that there's probably disgruntled fans would turn on Kame. I don't know why, but he always seems to be blamed for things out of his control.

Well, RL is getting there. I want to say getting better... but not quite there yet. XD But I'm done with work for this week so I'm pretty relieved.

well, there's two of us at least. not that that is very comforting kriszeth June 9 2009, 11:36:33 UTC
i don't understand the mind-frame of anti-fans, trying to ruin Kame's career. even so, it really is depressing to see how people do it against kame, who is so hardworking. what's their problem, why do they hate him so much?

i just woke up and your entry was the first thing i saw. great way to begin the day after another night filled with nightmares. ugh

i'm so sorry for kame.

the only comfort we have, is that even if people try to undermine his work, he still sells enough to be the most promoted kattun member, in spite of everything and whether anti-fans like it or not. (so take that anti-fans)

i'm also sorry to hear about your work is not going as you expected. that also happened to me recently. maybe this time you'll get you dream-job? ganbatte, ne!

I don't either. Seriously, I don't get it. I mean, I feel much better that whatever they're doing is most likely having no effect, but the fact that they even attempt things like boycotting just really astounds me.

I hope you cheered yourself up somehow. :( Nightmares suck and then you end up exhausted the next day. :(

That's true. I'm pretty much feeling better about Kame in general today, and, well, yesterday was probably not a great time for me to read the comms. In the end, Kame's still has a lot of fans and he's still a success in his own right and well, nothing the anti-fans can do about it.

This week has been... not that great. And the atmosphere at work is affecting me more than I thought. I'm sorry to hear that it happened to you too. :( I'm just going to take a break after my contract ends...

I keep picturing Kame apologising profusely to KimuTaku though.

Yeah, that was one of those things I kept trying not to think about when I was looking at percentages instead. Ow.

I know, right. :| On the other hand, the image of Kame at a Transformers 2 afterparty is amusing enough to distract me from thinking about it...

aj;sdf apparently that sighting of him drunk was wrong!! And he was at a Transformers 2 afterparty instead, which makes me feel a lot better (and is pretty amusing...). So you were right! :D He was probably partying and enjoying himself... at the release of Transformers 2?? a;df

*hugs back* I hope so too. Today was getting there... not entirely better yet, but for now work is over for this week. Fingers crossed for next week.

I know right? Yesterday I was just depressing. Usually I don't let fandom things upset me this much because I know that they will go as fast as they come and I see it as a waste of time to go all srz biz at something like, well, fandom (hello! we are into shiny boy bands here). But wth, nothing brings me down quite like Kame hate.

The boycotting thing, I'll be honest here, I don't even want to talk about it. I don't understand why people would do this to someone like Kame and I'm sort of sick of thinking about this (now that's a waste of time).

So. Let's just hope this will pass quickly and that the whole thing is being blown out of proportion (I do believe in that).

I'm sorry to hear that work and RL haven't been so well for you :(
I hope that it gets better soon. Hang in there lovely ♥

*hugs*

I know. :| Same here, I was pretty surprised at my own reaction. Usually I don't take things so seriously and even though I go wtf at the Kame hate, I get over it pretty quick. It's their loss and their waste of energy. But yesterday was probably bad timing on my part... should have left the comms alone and read today or something, when I was feeling less down.

I know what you mean. It astounds me that they'd do something so... wasteful? Idk, like Tia said, boycotting brings to mind all the protests and etc over important issues and... not a Japanese idol is what I would think. :/

Though, hearing that Kame was at a Transformers 2 afterparty is cheering me up considerably.

It'll probably blow over, but I'm going to get pretty annoyed if Kame's detractors start honing in on this as an example of his bad acting or 'ratings killer' reputation.

*hugs* ♥ Maybe next week will be better... :|
