I have finished watching the last episode of Hanakimi, and it was asfjkl.
Things that killed me:
- Nakatsu saying how he'd like Mizuki even if she was a boy. Asfjkl. Oh, Nakatsu. Does this mean gender has no meaning for him now? So...if he were to fall for another guy...
- THEY DRESSED UP AS GIRLS FOR A FESTIVAL. ASFJKL. NAKATSU IN A CUTE PINK NURSE OUTFIT, WITH CUTE RED GLASSES AND HAT. SANO IN A FRENCH MAID OUTFIT, ASFJKL.
- THE BATHROOM SCENE WHEN THEY WERE STANDING IN FRONT OF THE URINALS IN THEIR NURSE AND MAID OUTFITS AND DISCUSSING MIZUKI. *dies*
- Kagurazaka (Sano's rival) got traumatised, yet again. ♥ First, the kiss from a drunk Sano, then by a smiling Sano in a maid outfit asking how he could serve him. His face. ♥ ♥ ♥
- ...Kagurazaka, when asked which maid he likes best, pointed hesitantly at Sano. Sano's 'eh???' expression. Asfjkl.
- Okay, every scene with Kagurazaka in it because he's just so hilarious here and because he seems so random turning up every so often...and being traumatised.
- SANO WON THE BEST DRESSED GIRL COMPETITION EVEN THOUGH MIZUKI IS REALLY A GIRL. ASFJKL. I loved Nakatsu's T_T "but...Mizuki's a girl" and Mizuki's disbelieving O_o "no way..."
- EVERYTHING ABOUT UMEDA. ♥ ♥ ♥
- THE END, WHEN SANO AND MIZUKI CONFESS TO EACH OTHER. SANO TELLING MIZUKI TO LOOK OVER THERE AND THEN SNEAKING A KISS. Asfjkl. Sano, you are so awkwardly unsmooth even though you look so cool, but I love you so much for it. ♥
- When they all supported Mizuki after finding out the real reason she came. :|
- Nakao and Mizuki's friendship. I never thought I'd say this...but... so cute. :|
- Kayashima telling Nakatsu that there will be someone else and then their cute, cute interaction. I seriously thought for a moment that Kayashima was going to add in "...like me" because he was just looking at Nakatsu so warmly.
- Nakatsu and Mizuki's goodbye. Asfjkl. So cute and sweet and sad, and for a moment, I really, really wished Mizuki had chosen Nakatsu. :|
- Nakatsu's broken heart and his attempts to pass off his confession as a joke. D: I think Nakatsu single-handedly made me a Toma fan. :|
As for Gokusen 2, I've finished watching that as well, and adore the Hayato/Ryu moments. The middle of the drama dragged quite a bit, but by the time episode 8 came along (and episode 9, my favourite episode ever), they picked up the pace considerably and, you know, having them centred around Hayato and Ryu helped.
Moments that I adored upon rewatching:
- The valentine's chocolate scene. ♥
- Ryu saying that it suited Hayato when the gang went to see Hayato helping out Kuma. Asfjkl. Then Hayato giving a look to Ryu and Ryu immediately ducking down to each his ramen. Asfjkl.
- After Yankumi gets the deed to Kuma's shop back, Ryu helps Hayato up and then Hayato jumps on Ryu's back. I don't know how I missed this on the first run, but as soon as I saw this, I was all asfjkl, Ryu's giving Hayato a piggy-back ride. :D :D :D
- Everything in episode 9. Hayato and his glasses, so cute, so dorky, Ryu looking at Hayato, so in love.
- Hayato's expression when Ryu said all that to his father. I mean, he probably knows that Ryu cares for them, but Ryu's not very vocal (understatement of the year, yes), so this was, I think, the most Ryu's ever said (and will ever say) about his emotions towards them and...it just showed. I was so enthralled by Ryu on the first run that I missed Hayato's soft look and teary eyes. :|
- I didn't miss this on the first run, but I'm going to add it in anyway mostly because of Hayato's stricken look after it looked like Kudo was going to kill Ryu. He was crying out and struggling to get to Ryu. D: D: D:
- Hayato's apology to Ryu, and the expression on Ryu's face after.
- Ryu's apology in the police station and Hayato's 'what for?' :|
- Ryu trying to stop Hayato from fighting. Asfjkl. For some reason, I love the image of him trying to hold Hayato back.
- Asfjkl. When Hayato's dad comes to the class. Asfjkl. Nobody knows who he is except for Ryu, not even Take, who was in elementary with both of them. Asfjkl.
- On the same note, Ryu is the only one who's seen Hayato's mother. When talking about how he himself takes after his mother, he asks Ryu for confirmation, which he doesn't get. But...I loved Ryu's little smirk at the end. ♥
Interestingly enough, I noticed that while Ryu doesn't act like a leader a lot of the time (usually that's Hayato), he does when he really, really feels strongly about it. And during those times, Hayato just sort of follows or tries to convince Ryu otherwise. For instance, during the episode when they were looking for Take, who was fighting that guy, Ryu tells Yankumi to shut up and that it's none of her business before telling others 'let's go'. Hayato is silent and following silently behind Ryu. Or before their huge fight with Kudo's gang in episode 10, Hayato's the one trying to convince Ryu to change his mind. This was also after Ryu's apology in the station, which I think is when Ryu really forgives Hayato, and thus they start hanging out more right after, with Ryu sort of settling back into status quo.
I love the Akame chemistry here. So, so much. ♥
...I want to write fic. ;_; I want to write a future fic, where in they have stupid drunken sex right before Ryu leaves for Canada because it's their last night together, and because they're both stupid, Hayato doesn't send Ryu off, and neither of them call each other for weeks because they're both waiting for the other to reach out. Take, Tsucchi, and Hyuga gets tired of it so one day Take calls Ryu and doesn't tell Hayato when he hands the phone over, so when Hayato realises it's Ryu, he makes hissing noises at Take, who runs away. Then he stupidly says hi to Ryu, and Ryu says hi back and then they don't talk. But somehow they make up and there's visits over Ryu's semester breaks and Hayato gets jealous of Ryu's new friend, and then they live happily ever after.
...
Yeah, I know. :/
In other news, the flamenco's back, which means Tsubasa's leg got better. Yay.
