Wow. Well, no, I didn't know. Thanks for sharing though.
I can't say what will work best for you. For me it works this way: Identify the source of stress, take a few deep breathes to calm down a bit, while trying to assert a feeling of personal power over the emotional stress of the situation.
It's not perfect, but it works.
There's other techniques too, but I'll share those with you latah.
