(Chapter 01)
Chapter 02

It took him two more weeks until he returned to the infirmary. And no, they hadn’t spared him all this time. He had just endured the pain without further caring because he didn’t want to enter the infirmary again when Haruka wasn’t there. But today… today was different. They got hold of him again but this time it was just too much. Indeed… he had dared to fight back. Again and again they had hit him, punched him. “You damn faggot!” they had screamed and tears were now rolling down his cheeks. It hadn’t been that worse for a long time. He had never been a whiner or anything and he didn’t actually cry because of his tormentor’s words. He didn’t care much about what they thought of him. The pain was of physical nature and because of this, he was forced to visit the infirmary. Although his appearance was rather embarrassing right now…

Once again, his lips were bleeding. There was blood in his face in general because of a bruise on his eyebrow where the thick, red liquid was leaking from. His ribs hurt and it was hard to breathe. He wiped the blood off of eyebrow and face just to regain a bit of his dignity… He was still surprised about how he had made it so fast to the infirmary. Maybe he had just hoped to find Haruka-san here who would have comforted him. Of course, he was dissappointed. It was not her but Shinji Amano who was now in charge of the infirmary.

As soon as the young doctor had spotted the violated Saga, he jumped to his feet and approached him: “Sakamoto-san! God, just what are these people that beat you up like this…?” he asked but he was more talking to himself as he carefully maneuvered the injured boy onto one of the hospital beds. Saga breathed heavily. Maybe a rib was broken? At least, it didnt hurt that much when he was lying down. Amano immediately took care of the visible wounds on his arms and face. He cautiously dabbed the blood off of the open eyebrow and afterwards sprayed a disinfectant on it. Saga couldn’t see it since he had his eyes closed but he sensed the sudden moisture and slight coldness. Of course, the doctor knew these small scratches couldn’t be the only thing that were bothering Saga.

“I’ll pull your shirt up now, It’s probably going to be dolorous…” Oh god, his ribs were pulsating like hell and it only became worse as Shinji put his words into action. Saga bit his already bleeding lip and tried to push back his tears but nevertheless, he forced himself to not let out any cries of pain. He didn’t want to be weak. “They got you pretty bad… your right side has already swollen a bit…”, Shinji explained. “I don’t think you should go back to class. I’m going to treat you and then you can rest here for a while... but you should go to a pharmacy later, I’ll write a prescription…”, he added and typed something in his computer.

His deep, husky voice was somehow calming to the smaller so he only answered with a sigh as Shinji smeared some ointment on the already black and blue mark. “It operates cooling and it’ll ease your pain…“, the elder amplified. “Why…why are they doing this to me… it’s not like I ever did something wrong but…”, the brunette asked sorrowful.

“Please, don’t cry… why don’t you report these guys to the headmaster?“, the taller man suggested but the younger one shook his head: “No, no… they would only chase me down somewhere else and get their revenge. I’m just going to sit this out…”, another sigh, “…I mean, it’s just one year… it will work out somehow.” “Hmm… but I have to say, you are pretty tough. I mean, Haruka told me a few things and…”, the young doctor tried to distract him and well, it worked. The smaller one just stared at him. Did he just call Saga „tough“? So he didn’t think of him as the complete weakling? That was somehow shocking to him.

He had to smile about this and again rubbed over his eyes to finally banish the moisture out of them: „Haruka is such a chatterbox…” “Oh, yes, she is. When she began talking about you… damn, I really thought she’d never stop.”, Shinji grinned and tugged on the younger’s shirt which Saga quickly pulled down again and slowly raised himself from his still lying position. At that, a small, but pained groan escaped him. „I really don’t want to know what she told you. Only embarrassing stuff, I’m sure…”, the younger murmured and had to blush. Of course, he liked Haruka a lot but… she should have talked less about him and more about the job or something. “Oh, no. She actually praised you a lot and… she even threatened me to take good care of you!“, the raven-haired laughed. He had a beautiful smile, Saga thought and joined in as far the pain allowed it.

“Well, then you should watch out for me or she will return and come at you with her walking stick!” Of course, she didn’t need a walking stick but who knew what age-related stuff she already hid (things that weren’t even necessary for her because she was fit as a fiddle). “Oh, so I have to be scared now…”, the elder joked and Saga nodded: “Certainly.” As he was thinking about Haruka’s retirement and gazing at the taller man, a question popped up in his mind: „Uhm… how old are you, anyway? I mean, you’re a doctor already but… you seem pretty young.”

Hey, that guy was his new doctor so he would probably spend some time with him. He should get to know him a bit, shouldn’t he? And yes, he didn’t like talking about his everyday torment and even with Haruka he had avoided this subject. It was just embarrassing for him, so he of course tried to avert the conversation from it. Besides, he just wanted to speak about normal things. Nothing ordinary… He still had no one else at school, so it felt kind of pleasant to him.
Since he hadn’t returned to the infirmary since Haruka’s department, he also didn’t have a chance to just chat with the other man. Shinji probably already knew a lot about Saga thanks to Haruka, while he himself didn’t know anything about the dark-haired that oldy lady hadn’t felt the need to inform him about her replacement.

The change of subject seemed to confuse the doctor a bit but he answered him: “Ahh, so the questions are already starting, even with you… a few girls also almost interrogated me…” He shrugged. “Well, I’m 28 now. You are 18, right?” The brunette nodded: „Yes… I heard, they think of you as their new yearning-victim. I mean, just look at you, it’s hardly surprising…” His eyes opened wide and his face went bright red as he realized what he had just admitted.

“Err, I mean, you are young so they immediately try to flirt with you since the boys from school are too immature, they say, and the teachers are too old and…”, he tried to talk his way out quickly. With this all this embarrassment, he also suddenly noticed that Shinji looked much more like a doctor than last time as he first met him. Today, he wore tight, black pants and a white coat above his purple shirt, again with a slight V-neck. Furthermore, he had put glasses on. All things considered, the elder completely fit in the typical doctor cliché. Okay, except his age. Hmm… last time he didn’t have glasses on. That would have caught his attention, he knew for sure because… well, the glasses made him even more attractive, if that was even possible. No, that guy wasn’t alluring to him and he didn’t think of him as handsome. No, he didn’t.

A charming grin adorned Shinji’s lips as he noticed Saga eyeing him: “Oh, yes, of course.” Then he consulted his black watch on his arm. “Hmm, class should be over soon and my work, too. Is someone going to pick you up? Parent or someone?”, he informed himself but the smaller one only shook his head: “No… I’ll take the bus.” “Alright. Then let’s go to the bus stop together. They wouldn’t harm you anymore when I’m near. A few bruises aren’t that severe but we don’t want you to get hurt even more. I’d drive you home but I have an appointment and…”, he looked at Saga apologetically. And hell, what an innocent look the elder had… and he had thought only women could do that but the doctor had proved him otherwise now.

“Err, yes, thank you… but taking me home would be too much anyway. I don’t know if I would survive an attack of your little fanclub…”, Saga wispered but more to himself. “What, a fanclub?”, of course the dark-haired male had heard him and now raised an eyebrow at him sceptically, causing the younger to wince. He should probably think more before speaking. “Yes… a few girls founded a… Shinji… Kawaii? - Amano Club or something similar. You are their nr. 1 subject.“ Suddenly the taller man started laughing: „What, ‚kawaii’? Oh please… and I had hoped for something like ‘sexy’ but ‘kawaii’?” Yes, the student had to agree on this one. But this time, he wouldn’t dare to say that out loud.

Finally, he raised himself carefully from the bed to not suffer any more pain and then waited for the doctor to lock the infirmary so that they could go to the bus station. Of course, Shinji insisted on waving a few girls goodbye with his brightest smile causing some of them to giggle timidly. Needless to say, they ignored Saga but… really, he didn’t care. He was the one accompanied by the attractive young doctor and not these childish girls.
