I...
I...
I think I may have changed ships.
JUST FOR A SECOND.
But the thought was there.
(For the record, there is something really fucking devious about securing my OTP loyalty through a Very Specific Scene (scar-kissing) only to turn around and have the secondary guy do it too... and better.)

also, it's weird that her dad's friend was clearly in love with her mom and is not taking and interest in her......

Or OT4, let's not forget Seo Joon! (It's quite possible that I might have to eat my words later, but I loved that she was not a crazy plotting stalker but a girl who just didn't get over Moo Kyul - and you could tell she really liked hanging out with his friends and asdhsjadf THEY ALL JUST NEED A LOT OF LOVE AND PUPPIES ♥)

I loved when she was protesting her handsome remark. "OBJECTIVELY SPEAKING!" Yeah, Mae Ri, you just think he's a dreamy hottie with a great voice and you want to make him mittens. IT'S NOT THAT YOU LIKE HIM OR ANYTHING.
HOW CAN YOU BE MOVING SHIPS SO EASILY, I AM DISAPPOINT IN YOU. CUTE KITTY OTP IS OBVIOUSLY THE BEST OTP.
F-FIRST LOVE. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO RESIST? DRAMAS HAVE CONDITIONED ME TO SHIP IT.
I'm thinking maybe he didn't, y'know, REALIZE Mae Ri was Mae Ri. It wasn't until he saw the picture that he remembered her scar, for instance. He knew she was Wi Mae Ri from his childhood but didn't make the emotional connection that she was that little girl. You know what I mean?
I'm just guessing, though.

I'm thinking it's more likely that he doesn't want to remember, that he locked away whatever the hell happened to Mae Ri's mom and probably Mae Ri's existence too, but the picture brought something back. It was the look on his face -- he seemed a thousand miles away when he was reading the inscription. And Mae Ri obviously remembers it too, on some subconscious level, it wouldn't leave her alone the whole day.
Whatever's going on, I believe his feelings are feel. They're just murky and muddled and wrapped up in whatever happened 20 years ago.
Muhyul's Mom = argh. Is there a single decent parent in this drama?
Seriously, if they're not shameless opportunists they're god-like puppeteers. WTH?
I wanted to gag when the dads saw JI/MR piggybacking and looked so pleased with themselves.
And Mugyul got upset she didn't call him after ( ... )
