I was kind of annoyed by how much time they spent dwelling on Mikami's angst (oh, you poor dear, it's so tragic that you had to STAB GOOD PEOPLE), but otherwise I really liked the finale. Mikami being the murderer made sense aside from the weirdness of the timeline, with his connections and everything that we'd seen along the way, and also it was excellent for angst purposes. And the chief punched him in the face, twice. XD

And I do love that we got at least a few moments for all sides of the Date-Asuka-Kudo combi. They're all so...cute.

And I just love it when jdramas actually end well.

I found it odd how everyone just TOTALLY FORGAVE HIM. For the love of god, Date, your father figure killed your girlfriend to keep you from finding out that he also killed your partner. There have been whole revenge kdramas set around less.

I missed the OT3, but I guess it's believable of Asuka's character that she couldn't just hop into the vigilantism with the rest of them. Only in my fantasies...

Chief punching him out was his finest moment. XD

I can see why Date would have a hard time condemning Mikami given that he's the one who kept him sane after what happened with his parents and that he's been going along with the vigilante thing for three years, even if he never killed anyone or hurt an innocent person. But I would've expected Kudo and Asuka to be pretty pissed off and the chief to do more than punch him and then get over it. I'm just trying not to think about that too much since it'll annoy me. XD

I think it makes sense that Asuka didn't want to be a vigilante too, and it's kind of nice that not everyone was just like "Hey, sure, let's take unrepentant criminals away to a secret island prison! It'll be awesome!" But it would've been nice to have all three of them working together and Asuka probably bossing around Kudo and Date. (One day...)

Yeah, and it'd hard to buy Asuka supporting Joker (even if only through Date) after her brother was killed to keep Joker's secret. I just wish we could've gotten more of Asuka's story in general. There were such interesting things they could've done with her arc! *pines*

Oh, so I watched last week's episode of Hellcats and I kind of wanted to strangle Marti the entire time. Way to act superior to EVERYONE in the universe. Savannah was a doll though.

Bwahaha, my best friend, who spent the whole last season making fun of me for watching TVD, is now completely hooked and can't stop talking about it. Sometimes people DO see the light in the end.

You tell me. I've developed the ability to quickly recite a list of reasons for the show's awesomeness that I try to fit in the time between the "I watch this show, it's called The Vampire Diaries" admission and people going "Um, okaaaay..." and slowly backing away/mocking me.

So, I take it Hawaii Five-0 is good then? My geeky heart warmed up at the thought of Grace Park and Daniel Dae Kim in a show together but I haven't had a chance to watch the premiere yet...

YES! And they play cousins! And they punch people! (Actually, that's mostly her.) The two male leads are awesome too, they're snarky partners who gripe at each other all the time in between bouts of asskicking. I laughed quite a lot.
