The resemblance to BYJ is STRIKING. He looks like the golden twin from all his award ceremony get-ups.

Nope. He ends up alone, but pretty content. He is an odd guy :) Shizuka marries some French dude. (Just as well, I don't really care for Shizuka, I find her manipulative). The only time he got a hea with Shizuka was in the anime.
