For anyone thinking of marathoning Maou, I just played catch up with three eps in a row and almost gave myself a heart attack. There was much shrieking, flailing, gasping, bouncing, *_____*ing, and SCREAMING AT THE SCREEN.

You might want to take this drama at a reasonable pace if you don't want it to kill you.

Maou 6-8, major picspam and text vomit warning. )

maou destroys your soul... stylishly, xanatos gambits are sexy, cannot take much more of this, evil is delicious, a;lsdflkjfdfskdjfdf, omgomgwtf, hot stalking, masochism at its finest

...I totally stalk around your journal to read the very very fascinating Maou squee.

Yamano seems to be the evilest bitch in this whole damn drama...and Naruse is surrounded by very kind hearted females.

I haven't watched previews either...but I think...it would be very very twisted...if Naoto's brother called that hit on his secretary...

IS THAT HONGO I SEE? ♥ The girls are pretty great, aren't they? The only decent characters in a drama filled with liars and cheaters and murderers. XD

Did the secretary get a hit too, or just Souda?

YES HONGO KANATA :D He is so awesome and kickass in Seigi no Mikata XD

Yeah. Besides for Naoto's brother's wife. She's kind of skanky, sleeping with the secretary and all... XD

idkkk It'd be a total twist on the story if the hit was for the secretary...and Souda gets blamed or something omg. Can't wait till the next ep.

I've only seen the first ep, but I love how he's the HOTTEST BOY IN SCHOOL OMG. He's so skinny Shida Mirai could snap him in two!

.... That would be EXCELLENT. Or maybe Souda will be killed and he'll be blamed for it, so the girlfriend offs her husband in revenge...

Okay, I suspect that's too high a body count for Maou, but I can dream. XD

So in your opinion, marathonning Maou from the beginning is probably not a good idea for the first few days of college if I'm moving in with a new roommate who probably has never heard the word fandom before, never mind seen intense fangirling in action?

s;ldkfjnas;le pretty, pretty screencaps. I might not be able to resist for long *___*

If you have someone around, it might be easier. Just hope they don't mind when you blow their eyedrums by shrieking and clutching their hair and gibbering excitedly. :D RESISTANCE IS FUTILE.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I'm so glad you watched this. What is it about this show that makes us a) complicit all over the pace (please kill Yamano like, last week already) and masochists??

Because seriously-- the last two episodes chewed up my heart, spit it out, then danced on the jiggly pieces--AND I LOVED IT AND WANTED MORE.

especially the part with his sister--possibly the one really redeeming thing he's done or effect he's had--but only acknowledged when she pretty much gives him his walking papers. And then--the party. And Sora's picture--and then, the whole hug/angel thing >_< DEAD. (and incoherent ( ... )

*glee* I've been waiting for this comment!

The scene with Ryou's sister made me wibble, but I also found it kind of inappropriately funny that the only person thanking Naruse for his deceit was one who had no idea what was going on. XD I wonder if she'd be so touched if she knew Naruse most likely bashed her brother's face in to make his corpse unidentifiable... (Actually, maybe she would. "I was stuck here separated from my brother while he had fun with his friends." What an asshole.)

Niisan blew my mind omg. I never expected him to play a bigger role than the stock husband. I kind of got the feeling he was just testing how deep Kasai would go with the lie-- a lot of his conversations seemed to be pushing him to admit the adultery-- but then Naruse stepped in, all calm and cool and "You don't have anything on your record, do you?" and that just pushed him over the edge. So twisted, and so brilliant ( ... )

*glees back*

I was sort of obsessively waiting for you to finish and picspam so we could chat about this ^^"

I think it was pretty direct, wasn't it? The goons had instructions to chase him into a specific warehouse (I forget the number, but they repeated about three times, which is how I knew it was important *g*) and the floorboards were conveniently flimsy.

Ok, I'll roll on that one . . . though it only works because Ikehata tries to blackmail him and is greedy enough to become stupid enough to realize that Naruse gets people killed all the time (OK twice) and doesn't think that maybe this is a bad Idea . . . also, I really kind of feel that screwing with Makiko might have had a lot to do with the more direct brutality of the murder--temper got the better of him . . . either way, there's no way he's legally responsible, not that that means anything . . . but he had that card ready way before ( ... )

Um . . . limit break on comment . . . because you know how I like to flail these conversations ^^" flange5 August 27 2008, 01:46:17 UTC
So that was random. But I just can't see the happy ending, and I want to. But in lieu of that, I want a totally melodramatic crazy 4-way confrontation in the rain with highly symbolic lighting--is that too much to ask? And at least two deaths. After of course, Kasai, Souda and Mari are taken out. And if Yamano lives (highly unlikely after saying that crap about neesan), I will be incredibly peeved.

I don't know about Yamano though--is this about Hideo, or just a chance to get back at a high school bully? I assume the latter, mostly because that fits with my very unsympathetic reading of him throughout.

I'm actually feeling for Kasai too. He's a cheating little creep, but he was willing to give up everything for the girl... and she wasn't. Ouch.
That kind of hurt me, too. That wasn't about him being a weasel for once, and his clear bewilderment about Kasai turning on him so much (you're my friend) was pretty awful too. Dude, Serizawa should just take up drinking with his police friends, who at least seem to be decent people ( ... )

I still haven't gotten past episode 3 of Maou yet, so your pic scams are what I'm going off of- so I imagine the series is like 80% Ohno and guy-on-guy action.
Psychic girl seems a bit slow on the uptake, considering she's psychic.
And your caps say they really dimmed way down on the cute/awkward friendship-maybe-crush between psychic girl and cop. But Psychic Girl/Naruse looks

Is it following Mawang very closely from what you can tell? Was the creepy reporter in the Korean version too?

Naoto/Shiori had a lot of great scenes in the first half but they're falling to the side now for Naruse/Shiori OTP. *___* I'm half-glad, half-disappointed they didn't bother with a love triangle, since the jdrama just doesn't have that much time. It would've been great, but I'd rather see more murders.

Well, they're hitting all the major plot points as far as I can see so far- the affair, the grappling- one having flippable wavy hair, lawyer's sister, lawyer/psychic girl, past umbrella interaction between layer/psychic girl, various standoffs between lawyer/cop, and if the "HE KNOWS!!!" bit means Naoto's figured out about Naruse, than yes- but it seems a bit early if there are supposed to be 12 episodes.

And it was really a 'love triangle' persay in Mawang. Just phychic girl and layer getting romantically involved, and having a close friendship between her and cop which gets awkward at times because cop may or may not develop a crush on her and she may or may not find him cute. Then there's the whole manly tension between cop and laywer whenever they face each other.

And creepy reporter... I have no refrence for comparison so I'm probably just forgetting if there was one in Mawang. What's the reporter reporting on?

I've heard TVGuide has it set for 11 episodes, which would explain why they're really cramming it in the past few eps. XD Not much time left!

Creepy reporter is involved with the cop's family-- wrote the cover story years ago-- and figured out that Naruse stole his friend's identity. Is the fake sister in Mawang? He visited her and told her the truth but she covered for Naruse.
