Doctor Who - The Big Bang

I can't believe we actually got a positive ending finale where no main cast member left the series. Did I just step into a parallel world?

Truth be told, that was a brilliant episode ending and a part of me loved the fact that not everything was resolved. The silence being the operative one but I guess there's fun to be had with that next season.

Rory protected a Pandorica bound Amy for nearly 2000 years - now that's dedication and I liked the turn on the boy who waited and the Doctor's glee that Rory married Amy. He's a shipper, it's been obvious all season but blatantly here so.

The timey wimey stuff was fun and confusing in equal measures and definitely meant that you needed to watch the Confidential for this episode because there were bits that I missed out on.

Loved seeing Amy and Amelia actually interacting but the scenes where the Doctor tucked in Amelia and was talking about how she'd forget him (even though he was manipulating it so that she wouldn't) were actually hard to watch. I can't have been the only person who thought that, right?

Amy and the Doctor - I've loved their team up from the start of the season and I loved that she got her family back, which is hypocritical of me considering that I was happy that Amy was an orphan to begin the season.

Stone Dalek was fine but the highlight of that was it's realisation that River lacked mercy and the fact that River helped in her own way with Amy remembering the Doctor.

Interesting way of stopping the universe ending this season. Creating another big bang.

Loved the wedding reception stuff and the Doctor's awful dancing and River promising that we'll soon find out who she is. And the Doctor looked hot in his suit. The fez was funny but I don't blame Amy/River for destroying it.

Next season, the Doctor travelling with a married couple will be interesting, 10/10.
