Ashley is sick today. I spent the morning at the doctors with her, she has a bad sinus infection. Her OCD of hand washing is back so the doctor also gave her some lactic acid for that. It's difficult to get her not to wash her hands constantly during the day. I usually just use the medicine at night because of this, even though it is supposed to be

Sadly, bad people happen. It's good that on the internet I can just block them out of my life for the most part. lol

I've come across a few of those bad apples too. It is upsetting. Sorry you had to go through this.

I guess the best thing to do is weed out the bad ones until you know all your friends are good ones. I am happy with the friends I have now! :)

I work in healthcare and I HAD OCD with handwashing before to the point where it really dried my hands and had a lot of scatches.. Ugh.

That's what happens to her, the hand washing makes these little bleeding cuts all over her hands.

I had heard about OCD hand washing, but never realized how bad it could get, until I saw it happening.

I am sorry you had to go through that. I hope that it got better now. :)

People who go bug-nutty online have an un-diagnosed mental disorder. I swear.
Anonymity is an almighty drug that most of us enjoy far too much. I usually tell them to come find me and we will continue the discourse in any public venue. That usually makes them balk.
But then again. I answer aggression with calmness...

I am a clam person as well, my first though is to pacify the person with honesty. I am not going to lie to someone to get them off my case, but I will try and reason with them to the best of my ability.

Especially those who harass people over things that cannot be changed, such as race, sexual preference, or gender.

This is precisely why I don't disclose those things for no reason. I just don't find them important and I'd rather people give my "person" a chance; people could judge me before they even get to know me.

Understandable. I feel the same way most of the time. Livejournal is one of the few places I am more open about myself as a person, but even then I don't bring things up all the time. :)
