Demons (Jason, Serenity, Razvan, OPEN)

Serenity hadn't seen him follow her. She had been at Ben's, hearing all about Daria from Noah and receiving some fatherly affection. She wasn't aware that Jason had been watching the house. It hadn't occurred to her to worry about such a thing. Why would he go to such lengths? She didn't understand he had something inside of him which would ( Read more... )

"Oh, Scotch," Serenity breathed as Leon helped her into the kitchen. He was so wonderful. She was surrounded by wonderful people, she had to wonder how Jason had even happened. It didn't make sense. He didn't make sense in the wonder that was her life.

She waited until he was pouring, and then she turned to him, wrapping her arms around herself. She was safe now, thoroughly supported by their lovely kitchen seating, even if it was quite modern in stark contrast to the look of the house. She pulled her knees together and she stared at a spot of mud there on her kneecap where her skirt was ripped. "I think he followed me here," she whispered. "Who does that shit?!" He had been a bad boyfriend, and he had hurt her, but this had been...more than extreme.

"People about to walk into a whole world of trouble," Leon said, undertones of anger evident in his voice, though he had no idea exactly how much trouble Razvan could be to someone. But he sighed most of the anger away as he passed over the glass of scotch; he knew that chasing after Jason and punching him out wouldn't help anyone. Besides, Leon was strong enough to open jars but he wasn't exactly a fighter. In his younger days that wouldn't have stopped him trying to put some bully in their place, though. He'd gotten his arm broken, once. But there were better ways. "Another thing for us to be grateful to Razvan for, isn't it? Where is he, by the way?" Razvan didn't look like he was capable of opening much more than a tough jar lid, either.

Serenity took a deep swig of the liquid and she took a moment to enjoy it's burny goodness before answering. "I think he went to talk to his cop friends, maybe? I know know, he's strange." And he had wings. WINGS. "Oh, Jesus, Leon. Oh, Jesus..." She looked up at her friend, the reality of what had almost happened overwhelming.

"Hey, hey," he said, moving closer to her. He put one rough skinned but warm hand on her arm, and smiled a little, worried about her. "You're safe in here. You really are."

Serenity let out a shaky breath and then she nodded, though she wasn't so sure about Razvan now. Leon wasn't Razvan. She leaned forward into him, her chin resting on his shoulder. "I just...would have hated to be his again."
