Peter could hardly breathe as he buzzed the button for Katherine's flat and waited, fiddling with the large bouquet of roses he'd gotten for her. She buzzed him in and he the climbed the stairs as if they were the steps to the gallows. Here he was. On a DATE. A monk on a date. It was rather ridiculous. Still, he wasn't a monk anymore and he needed to move on.
Katherine opened the door and grinned at him. "Peter, you look fabulous!" Peter couldn't say a word. She looked stunning in a short green dress that clung to all the right places. Instead, he just nodded and handed her the flowers. She waved him in, laughing. "Do you want any coffee or anything?"
"No-I'm fine." Like he needed to be any more jumpy. He watched as she put the flowers in a vase.
"These are so beautiful, thank you, Peter. Did you want to go?"
"Do you want to go?"
Katherine chuckled. "Sure."
She gave him her arm and led him down to the street where they hailed a taxi that took them to the restaurant. Peter sat opposite Katherine, silent. In his mind, he thought of thousands of witty things to tell her, but they all died on his tongue. It didn't bother Katherine, however, who was chattering away happily to her captive audience.
Sometime after their food arrived, Peter had finally managed to relax. Okay, this wasn't so hard. He could do this. He was just eating dinner with a friend. An incredibly attractive friend who was probably going to expect things later. And he had no idea what to DO. Katherine snapped him away from his thoughts.
"Oh, this is the best food I have had in so long. I've been living on cafeteria food and beans on toast. This is fantastic. Thank you, Peter." Peter merely smiled and took a bite of his spaghetti bolognese.
"I'm glad you like it."
Katherine grinned, slightly evil. "Of course I like it." She bit her lip and removed her shoes under the table, then she ran a bare foot up the inside of Peter's leg. Peter dropped his fork on his plate, splashing sauce all over him. "Oh, Peter! I'm so sorry!"
"No, it's fine!" Peter dabbed at his shirt with his napkin, amused. "Don't stop." he said seriously, and then he looked up at Katherine shyly from under his thick lashes.
Katherine was thrilled that Peter actually seemed to be taking initiative. She ran her foot up as high as she could reach and Peter closed his eyes. "You know Peter, sometimes I think I am corrupting you." She giggled.
Peter, with his eyes still closed, said "I can tell you right now that I really don't mind."
"So I can corrupt you in other ways?"
Peter opened his eyes, but managed to not let his mouth fall open as well. "Y-yes!"
"Good." She said, reaching for Peter's hand and holding it there in the middle of the table. She gazed into his eyes and smiled. Peter blushed and looked away. He stared at his food which he'd only managed to take a few nervous bites of.
Katherine released his hand. "You're not hungry, Peter?"
"I've never done this before."
"Eaten spaghetti?"
Peter laughed. "No. Gone on a date."
"I did guess that, Peter. It's okay, you're doing just fine." She winked. She wanted to ask what rock he'd been living under that had prevented him from dating, but she didn't. She just finished her dinner and smiled. "You should get them to box that up for you. You might want to eat it later."
"Did you want dessert?"
"Yes. But not here." She smiled seductively. Once they had boxed Peter's meal, they hailed a taxi and rode back to Katherine's. She lead him up to her apartment.
"We should get you out of that shirt. I'll put something on it so it doesn't stain." She said and then she waited expectantly. Peter just stared at her. She smiled. "I can do it." She walked over to her and took his jacket off. Slowly, she started unbuttoning his shirt, all the while gazing into his eyes. She slid his shirt off, but let it fall to the floor instead. She pulled him closer to her and kissed him full on the lips before parting his lips with her tongue. Peter made a small surprised sound and then moaned. Katherine put her hands on his chest and pulled away. Peter shivered at her touch but she smiled. "Mmmm. Nice chest."
"I..thanks? You uhm..you..too." Peter couldn't believe he'd just said that.
Katherine laughed and bent over to pick up his shirt. "I'll be right back." She winked and carried it away with her. Peter sat on her couch, feeling completely lost like he often did when he spent time with her. But now he was lost and topless. That was something new.
Katherine re-entered the room a few minutes later, no longer wearing her green dress. Now she was wearing something very akin to a bikini. But it was lacey. And sort of see through. Peter said, "Muuhh."
"That was exactly the reaction I was going for!" She grinned and walked closer to him. "I like you, Peter. I like you a lot." Peter nodded, indicating he liked her too. She sat beside him. "Put your hands on me." Peter did just that. He put his hands on her sides and smiled, pulling her closer to him. She ran her fingers through his hair and leaned in to kiss him.
"Wait!"
Katherine's eyes flew open. "What!?"
"Uhm...I have to tell you something."
"Oh god, are you gay?"
"Wha...no. No! It's just...that I...I'm.." Katherine just gazed at him, wondering what sort of terrible thing he was going to reveal. "I was a monk."
"A..you were a monk?" She would laugh at his funny funny joke, but somehow she knew he wasn't kidding. Of course he was. It made perfect sense. "But you're not anymore?"
"No. No, I'm not anymore."
"All I need to know." She said, grinning, and she leaned down to kiss him again.
