This is the new lingerie ad by Lane Bryant, showing a deliciously curvy woman in her underwear, which was deemed inappropriate by ABC and FOX. The same networks which, incidentally, run Vicky's ads continuously during the same time periods this ad was scheduled for. Double standard, much?

1) If you are the DJ at a nightclub, you should be mostly playing what the patrons of the club wish to hear, not what you want to play. Throw in the occasional bit of new, esoteric, off-genre, or wacky thing maybe twice an hour (that is how the patrons get exposed to new stuff, after all); but for the most part, play the music the patrons want ( Read more... )

Jaime Escalante, 79, succumbs to cancer.

I think the National Teacher of the Year Award should be named for this great man, who proved to the world that anyone can learn anything, if he wants to, no matter who he is or where he is from.

You, Sir, stood and delivered. Thank you, Mr. Escalante. Rest well.
