you chose an amazing moment and a perfectly believable scenario. I love that he told her his name. I only wonder if she secretly knew it was him? I guess she didn't know about regeneration at this point, but the romantic in me thinks she would have recognized him at some point.

Beautiful, sad, but strangely hopeful story. :)

I'm glad the moment and scenario worked. I think her fuzzy memories and eventual relationship with his other self helped him justify his failing at pseudonyms once again.

I imagine Apalapucians don't actually look very humanoid, so it's possible at some point she might relate it to the Metacrisis Doctor and realize it then.
