I am very curious to see what the backlash will be for him. Personally, I'm proud that he had the guts to take a stand.

Despite all the friends I had though high school, I was one of those kids who almost gave up several times. Having been tormented since oh... 1st grade for being different and then morphed into 'the gay thing' around 4th and 5th grade carrying on all the way through high school. The really sad thing is that I didn't even understand what 'gay' was until 6th grade. I just knew everyone hated me for some reason I couldn't understand.
I just thank my lucky stars that I found the right friends who helped me come out and be who I am and love myself. I really, really got lucky.
