I just got the damn puppy Saturday from the SPCA. He had a "cold". They said to take him to the vet as soon as I can and he should be fine. WRONG! I took him to the vet today, turns out my beautiful yellow lab has DISTEMPER! WTF.....thats not a cold you fucktards! Oh man, that sucks. It seems to be quite common these days, I know quite a few people who that has happened to lately. I don't think I would have been able to keep from crying in front of the kids, although I know I would have tried... I am such a crybaby about this kind of stuff :(

yea it sux. I still want to cry. But im ok now. Im just pissed that it happened in the first place. They could have warned me a bit better you know. I didnt think I would get as attached in 3 days as i did. but eh...it happens i guess

I could have sworn the SPCA had to give animals all their shots, including distemper...might wanna consider looking it up and possibly reporting that location so more animals don't have to be needlessly put down

they do get their distemper shot however there was an outbreak when those puppies arrived. So they contracted it b4 the shot was given...blahblahblah...thats what they told me
