I hate when they do that... I already have the first two movies but I love having the extras!

Me too! I have got to know if they pack is going to include even more extras (which it probably will) so I can see if I'll have enough money to buy it.

For me it's probably not such a bad idea to buy the set actually - I've watched the first two so many times that I wouldn't be surprised if in a year or two they don't play right anymore

Yeah the same here. My copy of CotBP is already a bit scratched so it would make sense that I get the set, at least that's what I tell my mom ;)

Oh man...if I had $60 I'd totally get the Two Towers extended soundtrack. I love all the Gollum and Rohan stuff. Guh...I made the mistake of checking the Fellowship one and sure enough Passing of the Elves is on it which is probably my favorite piece of the whole series other than Pippin's song. Hopefully someone will upload that one somewhere.

Now if Ridley Scott would follow suit and release an extended version of the Kingdom of Heaven soundtrack so I can get the full version of Crusaders... *sighs*

I know! I love Passing of the Elves too and I love Arwen's Song! I think the CD's include the DVD's too and that's why they're expensive.

Oh well in that case I won't bother saving up to get them unless the DVD's include a stunning amount of new extras.

I knew they were going to release the extended soundtracks eventually, I just didn't think they'd be that expensive! $30 I could have dealt with but $60 is way out of my league.
