It sounds like you made the right decision. I was going to study in Europe second semester as well, but then I realized the only reason I really wanted to go was to travel, so I'm just going to travel through on my way back to Sydney next semester instead. You can travel Europe whenever you want, but your internship and experience at Barnard are more for the here and now. And your brother's child will only be born once. I'm just happy for you that you've made a decision =) I miss you!
