I had an abortion 10 years ago. I was not traumatized. I thought carefully about my decision and knew what I was doing. It was a painful but brief process and I was glad when it was over-- that EVERYTHING was over, the hiding pregnancy from my parents, the being deathly sick to my stomach every day, the whole thing. Spiritually, I don't know if I did something very wrong or not-- I never felt a "soul" growing inside me, I just felt sick. I have promised myself and the universe that when I do have a child, I will be the best mom ever, to make up for what I may possibly have done wrong. But on the whole I'd say I was not traumatized and things were fine.
