Naw, you really don't have to worry about them. There are a TON around Folsom/Fair Oaks because of all the riparian areas, and they've always kept a good distance from me.
It's really neat to see them, I think. When I lived upcountry, you'd only see occasional turkey's from a distance or crossing the road real fast because they are afraid of humans. Down here where they aren't hunted, they're less shy.
