It's Arizona. I'm starting to resign myself to Arizona as being incredibly racist in general overtones. At least for the next few months.

And ha! No racial controversy in Prescott... this is the same town where, when a local independent group put up billboards in Spanish explaining census info wouldn't be released for 10 years, to encourage illegals who were afraid to send in info, locals defaced it daily so the words were unreadable.
Prescott is a strange town. It's one part retired grouchy rich old people, one part hippies, one part snooty Californians who abandoned California since it was too liberal. There are a hell of a lot of conflicts like this, they just don't get much attention.
I'm personally friends with a bunch of the Prescott Art Mice (one of the groups that worked on the mural) and this whole situation is just making us so sad and so angry.
