Determined Zuko takes after Daddy that way. "My rider is all the way over there. I am going to get to my rider and NOBODY IS GETTING IN MY WAY."

The riders who remember the Hatching that produced Ozaith find that scenario very familiar indeed.

I'm not familar with Avatar?, but awww… (And disabled dragonriders! Not sure if it's Avatar canon or not, but thank you for thumbing your nose at McCaffery.)

Teo's disability is Avatar canon. Also canon is Teo not letting that stop him for anything -- when we first meet him, he's flying. His wheelchair has a glider attachment. He can also do wheelies in it.

The next time he shows up, he's participating in an invasion and driving a TANK. <3 All at thirteen.

I love Avatar.

Especially because nobody makes a big deal about the wheelchair. He can't use his legs, he has an alternate means of transport. It's all good.

Yes. <3 And the characters are actually realistic! Neither of the main two female characters is The Chick, either. Or the three female villains who turn up in season two. None of the female characters are really the Chick.

Just take my word for it, everyone is awesome and there's a lot of Parental Bonus and a lot of really subtle things.
