I *love* Ulta! But the nearest one is an hour and a half away. And I have piles of makeup- not that that stops me from browsing the makeup section at MuleWart.
The lashes really are OTT. But remember- I think you're my age- the lashes in the 60s and 70s? Remember Twiggy and her three pairs of lashes at a time? Lord I wore those things every day for YEARS and thought I looked just dandy... it's all cyclical. They first started wearing those things in the 20s.

Ulta is really fun. I had no idea that my granddaughters already knew about it. Scarlett and I had a party in there.
I remember Twiggy well. I thought she was so cool, and I still think--that despite the anorexic body--she was pretty cool. I loved the androgynous look. And yes--I forgot that she did all the eyelashes. And yes, they did it in the 20s.
I have super sensitive eyes. I have to use expensive prescription eyedrops. I had to give up contact lenses while I was still in my 30s because my eyes just swelled up and it would have been injurious to keep wearing them. The eye sensitivity is why I stopped wearing any eye makeup.
