College does seem to be the time when young people do try on different persona's but I swear some of them seem to take it to an extreme degree. The temptation is really strong when you weren't comfortable with yourself back in high school and you were "locked" into whatever facade people pigeon-holed you in--because you were with them all the time and couldn't get away from them.
Change your clothes, your hairstyle, your makeup, and even your taste in books, hobbies, activities and then go where no one knows you and you're all set. Best of all, if you mess up badly, you need only move to another college and start the process of building your adult life all over again.
Sounds like an excellent background for a book doesn't it?
Your book sounds pretty good too!
