Today I spent $60 on the garden...it's sad that it doesn't show. If I spent $60 on jeans, you might notice that I had a pair (or two) of new jeans. But in the garden, $60 just disappears. Yeah, I've noticed that, too. Spend $100, and the yard looks just the same. Don't spend it, and it looks dilapidated. Entropy FTW.

I suppose you're right--you'd hope all the work would be the energy the system needs, but it appears to need money as an input as well. Alas. Today I should make a second trip to Home Depot--the trimmer ran out of string half way through the job (of course). :)
