Lana's Cottage: Monday Early Evening [1-14-08]

Lana slipped out quietly after work and headed home to soak in her hot tub for a while and watch the stars come out. She had a single glass of wine with her - all the alcohol she allowed herself in an evening now - and was feeling fairly content and at peace.

His visit with Phoebe earlier in the day had Aziraphale feeling a little more than usually worried about people, and so after dinner he went out to stop by at Lana's little cottage, just to check in.

He gave a soft rap on the door, and called out quietly, "Miss Lang? It's Aziraphale."

Lana was startled to have someone knock, but relaxed when she heard the familiar voice of Mr. Phale. She slipped out of the hot tub, wrapping a warm terrycloth robe around her and made her way to the front door.

"Mr. Phale, please come in," she said with a smile, but couldn't help being a little worried. "Is everything okay?"

"I'm actually just stopping by to make certain everything is all right with you," Aziraphale explained. "I am awfully sorry for disturbing you."

"Oh no, please, you're always welcome," Lana assured him. "Come in."

She stepped back to let him make his way into the small living room with kitchen attached. "I'm fine, just closed up the shop a little while ago. I think Sora was quite pleased and surprised with the birthday party."
