Ms Williams: What does the word 'goblin' make you think of? Me: David Bowie! Class: *wtf stare* Me: Seriously? Labyrinth. No-one? Why does no-one ever get my movie references? :O *shocked* NO-ONE?
*reading examples from the prayer book her daughter has to write in once a week* that sounds kinda.. wrong to me
:O *shocked* NO-ONE? We're a pretty small class and only about half of us were there that day anyway. Besides, we're all 90s kids.
that sounds kinda.. wrong to me We were studying the cognitive approach and it's theories on the developing levels of the mind, she was using the prayers as an example of how young children focus on concrete concepts - the stuff they can see and that has a direct impact on them - rather than on abstract concepts - world peace, cure for world hunger etc.
