He guessed he could change that if he actually tried to meet people, but he'd always been kind of shy and backwards that way. The closest he could manage was hanging around on the outskirts.

He sat down next to her so he wasn't blocking her sun anymore and watched the pool. It was odd, not being able to see without his glasses, and the glare from the water glinting onto the glass of his glasses was something he hadn't expected to ever have to deal with again. Resigning himself to glare, he shifted away and looked at Alice.

She couldn't wake up, and sat up to swing her legs into the pool. The water was cold.
