Aww, this is wonderful, and absolutely what should have happened in TCI. Personal canon now *denies all the rest of S2 without Jack*. Just lovely!

And this:

"Will you start treating me like an equal? Letting me make my own decisions, rather than making them for me? I chose this life, Doctor. And that means that whatever happens, it's my choice. Not yours."

and this:

"My turn," Jack says from somewhere behind her. "You've promised her, but now promise me. Don't leave me somewhere when you've had enough of me or if you think I'm too wrong to stay. Let me choose. Tell me you want me to go if you want, but let the leaving be my decision."

is exactly what each of them should have said to the Doctor. Yes! Go for it!
