Thank you so much :) I'm glad you enjoyed it. I needed to write something like this, just for the catharsis of it after the end of Day Five. Powerful television, yes, but it left Jack too broken for me to just let be.

I love Jack's new name. That's one way of not forgetting.
I promised myself not to read 'canon' CoE fic but something made me read this. It was beautiful. I'm still blubbering like a baby here but oddly this actually made me smile a little- something I doubted this type of fic could. Thank you.

Powerful television, yes, but it left Jack too broken for me to just let be. And, yes, I figured that Jack wouldn't keep his name, at least for the time being. Being Jack hurt too much. But as Steven Jones, well, that's punishment wrapped in a name, but it's a way for him to attempt to move on.
