I've not read all that many stories that take the human Doctor's POV on the beach scene, and this was nicely done, showing the contrast between the two of them and finishing with a lovely note of hope, but giving Rose room to work through her feelings of loss.

Also I liked the way you wove everything into canon - the "Forever" scene really rang true because it just slipped out between a bit of their usual banter - and the little twist that they didn't cross the line until the very last night seemed to fit perfectly with the tone of the piece.

Thank you so much :) I'm glad that you enjoyed it. The forever scene was, to me, something had to just slip out amongst their usual banter. I couldn't see the Doctor just coming out and asking the question as the precursor to an entire conversation.
